Spirits of the Season: A Halloween & Dia de los Muertos Exhibition
Atrium 916
Spirits of the Season is a magical combination of Halloween chills and rich Día de los Muertos traditions in the heart of Historic Old Sacramento. This immersive art exhibit features festive decor, ghostly paintings, and eerie sculptures – all crafted from upcycled materials by talented Sacramento artists.
A large striking La Catrina–inspired mural by Raul Mejia sets the tone inside the gallery. Guests are invited to honor loved ones at our community Day of the Dead altar, created by Maggie Gomez-Devos. All are welcome to leave photographs or honor loved ones using materials provided. On the larger side of the gallery features the following artists: AngelicArte, Art by Alyssa, Cat Hellxia, Elysium Star, Enchanted Wood Goods, Garden Momma, Gen Romo Tattoos, Hustling to be Free, Island Girl Art, Jamie Angello, Joyce Pierce Alchemies, Kiss My Craft, Laurel Marana, Pamela Herlihy, Stone Turner Creations, Veronica Kovats Sanchez, and Yoshiko.
Atrium is an interactive space for art, community and sustainability , where visitors are invited to participate in the installation and art making. Visitors can sculpt with clay Halloween creations or create a trick or treat bag, all while enjoying the garden patio and locally brewed kombucha or tea.
The exhibition runs from October 10th until November 2nd, 2025. With a special celebration of Dias De Los Muertos on November 1st & 2nd.
