SUMMARY:Rose-Colored Glasses: Art Exhibit Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Meet the artist\, Tami Cooper\, with a welcoming opening reception\, interview\, and complimentary sips – for the Rose Colored Glasses exhibit at the Atrium in Old Sacramento. \nTami Cooper’s landscape paintings are eco-conscious in both content and materials. Canvases are repurposed from old paintings\, and many frames are built from scrap wood. She uses palette knives to apply paint with various mediums to create bold and vivid artwork. \nCooper views the world through rose-colored glasses: she creates landscape paintings that reflect an optimistic and imaginative perspective. Skies are purple\, mountains are orange\, lakes are pink\, and oceans are yellow – each painted scene is an expression of environmental hope. By envisioning an ideal and magical world\, Cooper encourages viewers to imagine a future in which nature is defined by resilience and possibility. Her vibrant use of unexpected colors transforms familiar landscapes into dreamlike spaces that inspire viewers to build a brighter and more sustainable future. \nThe Rose Colored Glasses Exhibit runs from August 15th until September 11th\, with the reception held on Saturday\, August 15\, from 5-8 pm. \nAbout the Atrium\nAtrium 916 is a Creative Innovation Center for Sustainability that supports over 850 eco-friendly artists in the Sacramento region with artist studios and economic development programs that build a sustainable future. A collaborative think tank and economic hub for artists and creative entrepreneurs working on circular economy solutions\, building a kind\, creative\, and sustainable future. With impactful system solutions and immersive education experiences\, the Atrium innovates towards the regenerative\, omni-considerate future this planet needs.
