The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a long-standing Sacramento tradition, celebrating its 28th anniversary in 2026. Families, friends, and communities make memories at Old Sacramento Waterfront on March 14, 2026, with the celebratory Parade starting at 12:30 PM.
This event engages our community partners who join in the parade, but also our district’s diverse community of small businesses.

With multiple promotions like the Taste of Ireland and the Leprechaun Hunt, the energy and joy of St. Patrick’s Day can live longer than the 24 hours of March 14th or a single Saturday. Bring your friends and family and join us for a fun-filled season of luck!

Leprechaun Hunt
Are you looking for a fun activity that requires wit, determination, and just a wee bit o’ magic? Do you think you have the cunning to best the trickster of tricksters? Then grab your lucky four-leaf clover and come on down to the Old Sacramento Waterfront, because we’ve got just the thing for you!
Find the leprechauns who have hidden throughout Old Sacramento Waterfront, March 1st – 17th.
Each leprechaun will have a corresponding secret word that must be filled in on the activity pages to move on to the next hidden leprechaun. You’ll need to fill in each clue to solve the secret code at the end.
Fill out the riddle and submit the answers to enter our drawings for gift cards to support local businesses!
Starting March 1, pick up an activity book at the Visitor’s Center, located at 1000 2nd Street, or download your digital copy here.
