Is Halloween your favorite holiday? Join us Thursday-Sunday Oct 17th-31st For our holiday themed (21and over) cruises, we will be cruising along the Sacramento River with a fun live DJ, holiday décor and “spooky” drink specials.  Spend one-and a half hour cruising along the Sacramento River as the evening creeps in dance to the chilling sounds of Halloween.

Movies Under the Stars
Old Sacramento State Historic Park

Watch Halloween-themed movies outside in Old Sacramento State Historic Park every Thursday night in October.

We choose movies with Halloween settings and bring in themed vendors to ring in the spirits. The movie is projected on a large wall and starts at sundown. Put on your provided headphones, grab your popcorn or dinner, and prepare for shivers down your spine. Bring your blankets or indulge in VIP seating — there are three ticket levels to choose from.

Brandon Vestal, of the Oklahoma Vestals, is the comedian in the picture above. He is quickly establishing himself as the funniest Brandon Vestal in the country. Brandon was recently named “comedian of the month” this last December on Sirius/XM radio. and his latest album”Smoooth” on 800LB Gorilla records and his Dryer Comedy Special “Brandon Vestal: Who?” was just released. Brandon’s low key, observational style has made him a fast favorite in the comedy world. Brandon’s mom will vouch for all of this.

Dance your way into the “Spooky” on our 21 and over “Spooky” Rock the Yacht cruise. The Sacramento History Museum at the Old Sacramento Waterfront is proud to present “America’s Monsters, Superheroes and Villains: Our Culture at Play,” an engaging exhibition of vintage toys and more from SuperMonster市City!, opening August 9, 2024, and continuing through January 7, 2025. Coinciding with Second Saturday celebrations happening throughout the central city, the History Museum is offering free admission to all children and youth (under 18 years of age) all day on Saturday, August 10, along with a fun create-your-own comic strip activity.

On Saturday, October 26th, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Old Sacramento will come alive with the vibrant colors, music, and ancient traditions of Dia de los Muertos at the 13th annual Souls of the City Festival. Founded and organized by Sol Collective in partnership with The Center for Sacramento History, Souls of the City is Sacramento’s largest Dia De Los Muertos celebration. Come together with friends, family, and neighbors to honor the past, celebrate the present, and create memories for the future with live performances, captivating art installations, community vendors, and more!
