K Street Activation
Opening up the streets to people to shop, eat, and hang!

Event

Building upon the success of slow streets programs and Al Fresco dining, Old Sacramento Waterfront is piloting an Al Fresco on K Street on weekends this fall and opening the space up for pedestrians, bicyclists, horse drawn carriage rides, and shaded places to sit and people watch or play complementary games such as checkers and corn hole while listening to live music.

Live performances include:

  • Crossing Autumn
  • David Molina
  • Patrick Walsh
  • Soul Graffiti
  • Sid Morris
  • Jason Weeks, and more!

One of the highlights of the past few years is that cities all over the world, including Sacramento, have had opportunities to experiment with recalibrating our public realm to best serve the people who enjoy them.  This program prioritizes the pedestrian and creates a dynamic central plaza in the heart of Old Sacramento Waterfront, enhancing our guest experience on bustling Saturdays and Sundays and providing an opportunity to enjoy active transportation from DOCO to the Sacramento River.

Join us to see what there is to find in Old Sacramento Waterfront every weekend from August – October from 10 am – 6 pm.
