“Glamour Road” Exhibit – California Automobile Museum
California Automobile Museum

Following the end of World War II, the American automotive industry hired many designers and stylists from the fashion industry as automakers made a direct appeal to the rising sophistication and influence of women. The colors, materials, and angles of many cars from this era all reflect this mindset.

Join us in exploring the seldom told story of how glamour, fashion, design, and styling became the main focus of
automotive marketing from the postwar 1940s through the 1960s.

Exhibit runs from August 5th to October 31st.
