The Sacramento History Museum invites you to attend an event with local and national prestige. We have reached out to bring a special panel of artists and authors together for ‘Talking Comics’.  Participants include:

Brent Trayce Sands, Creator of Impound Comics, Sacramento

Mario Estioko, Comics artist & California State University, Sacramento Graphic Design professor

Patrick McDonnell, Creator of ‘Mutts’ and author of “A Superhero’s Journey”.

Darrin Bell, Pulitzer Prize winner creator of “Candorville”

The evening will be moderated by Eben Burgoon*, to encourage conversation among the panelists with questions from the audience at the end. This is a FREE event on ZOOM, December 18th at 5PM.

This event has been inspired by our current exhibit, “America’s Monsters, Superheroes, and Villains: Our Culture at Play”, running through January, 5, 2025.
