If it’s the Luck of the Irish you’re looking for, come find it at Old Sacramento Waterfront in March!  An Old Sacramento tradition that offers a day of a parade, live musical entertainment, outdoor beer gardens and a chance to find Leprechauns hiding throughout the charming historic district. Come and join us for this all-day event and make your St. Patrick’s Day one to remember!

Leprechaun Hunt

March 1st – 18th 

 

Do you want a fun activity to keep you busy? Find the leprechauns who have hidden throughout Old Sacramento Waterfront! Each leprechaun will have a corresponding secret word that must be filled in on the activity pages to move onto the next hidden leprechaun.  You’ll need to fill in each clue to solve the secret code at the end. Fill out the riddle and submit the answers to enter our drawing for 4 tickets to City Cruises

Pick up an activity book to fill out either at the Visitor’s Center located at 1000 2nd Street or wherever you find a leprechaun! If you’d like to do it on your mobile device, click the link below to download the riddle!

Set up an information booth or sell items at this year’s festival. Set up starting at 10 AM and vend during the festival from noon to 5 PM.

Join us in this festive community event in Old Sacramento Waterfront by being in the parade! Check in at 10:30 AM and be ready to parade at 1 PM. 

Parking/RT/Transit Info

Cobblestones and cars don’t mix! Park in the garages! 

Two public parking garages offer the easiest ways to park:

Old Sacramento Garage, entrance on I Street between 3rd and 2nd.

Tower Bridge Garage, entrance on Capitol Blvd at Neasham Circle near the Tower Bridge.

Rideshare 

Suggested drop off locations – these locations will include a short 5 min walk to Old Sacramento

  1. On the east side of 4th between L Street and Capitol Mall
  2. On the north side of J Street between 3rd and 5th Street
  3. On I Street between 7th and 8th Street

 

By Bus 

Check sacrt.com/schedules or call 916-321- BUSS (2877) to plan your trip before riding. Please check the schedules to ensure that you board your return bus or train before the last trip of the evening.

Sacramento Regional Transit bus routes 11, 30, 31, 62, 86 and 88

Stop on 3rd St. between I and L only a one block walk from Old Sacramento Waterfront. Other downtown routes are no more than a half-mile walk from the historic district. More information at www.sacrt.com.
